These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this service (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

The Service is a tool that helps remove identifying information from medical imaging files (DICOM) and other images. It is provided free of charge, and may include limits on usage of the free service.

2. Provided "as is" — no warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will remove all identifying information from your files.

The Service does not guarantee that a file is fully anonymized. Anonymization depends in part on your own review and actions (see Section 4).

3. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal right to process the files and data you upload. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Verifying anonymization. The Service removes metadata automatically and proposes redaction areas, but you must review each image and confirm that all identifying information — including text burned into the image — has been properly removed before sharing the files.
Your right to process the data. You confirm that you are authorized to upload and process the files and any personal or patient data they contain, in compliance with applicable laws (including data protection and medical confidentiality laws).
Lawful use. You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, and not to attempt to disrupt, overload, or abuse it.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages resulting from incomplete anonymization, disclosure of information that was not properly redacted, loss of data, or unavailability of the Service.

You use the Service at your own risk and remain solely responsible for the files you produce and share.

6. Privacy

Our handling of data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service.

8. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, or update these Terms, at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated through the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court of Rome (Tribunale di Roma)..
